The mission of the Global Soap Project is to improve the quality of life by improving the quality of health of refugees and displaced people around the world. What may be a simple bar of soap to you, may be a lifeline for a child who is at risk for respiratory disease. Hand washing can reduce preventable diseases by 42-65 percent.
We know we have a long way to go (to Uganda!), but it’s people like Sebastian Ogoma, who help us appreciate how far we have come. A former refugee from Kenya, Sebastien is one of the very first Global Soap Project volunteers.
With more than 50 hotels now participating in our pilot program, Sebastien has traveled all over the Southeast collecting (literally) tons of soap from every major hotel chain in the US. We absolutely couldn’t do it without him and all of the other great people volunteering their time and effort to our project.
Thanks Sebastien!

This is such a wonderful idea. If I could, I would buy the equipment you need and donate it to you. We have so much waste in the US when there are so many that could benefit from what others throw away.
May God Bless you all and your project!
Denise
