Matt and our founder, Derreck Kayongo spent some time in our storage facility, then headed down the road to the InterContinental Hotel Buckhead, the first hotel to fill one of our 68 gallon bins!
Patrick Birchall, the general manager at the InterContinental, has been a great supporter of the Global Soap Project from the beginning and has helped us spread the word to other hoteliers in the Atlanta community.
One of the wonderful and unexpected byproducts of this initiative is seeing how the simple act of helping others can bring people together. We see this at all of the hotels we are working with – the housekeeping staffs are so enthusiastic about the cause – and keep filling those bins. We thank you all!

This man should be given an award – maybe from the President.
More emphasis should be put on people like him.
There is way too much time – even on the news – spent on glorifying people in the entertainment industry – even if they don’t have any character or morals.
