GSP Board Member Marie-Jo Labaye Receives French National Order of Merit

by Beth Penland on May 21, 2010

The Global Soap Project and our Board of Directors are immensely happy to announce that our own Marie-Jo Labaye will receive the Ordre du Merite, an order of state awarded by the President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy. The honor was established in 1963 by President Charles de Gaulle and is awarded to French nationals for distinguished civil and military achievements.

Marie-Jo was nominated for her achievements as a global executive, her contributions to her community and commitment to non-profit organizations and educational institutions.

We are tremendously fortunate to have Marie-Jo as one of our founding Board Members. Her brilliance, intelligence and experience have inspired us all to do more and do better to grow the Global Soap Project from an idea to an organization.

Congratulations MJ!!
