Ready to get your hands clean?
Global Soap Project volunteers play a huge role in the success of our organization. In the United States, we need people to help us make soap at our warehouse just outside Atlanta, GA — and we always welcome in-kind contributions of time and professional services if you have a unique skill set!
The Warehouse Team will help us take donated soap from hotels and prepare it to be sent to people who lack access to soap around the world. This includes the following tasks:
- Sort soap by brand
- Inventory soap in warehouse
- Inspect, sort and clean the previously used soap
- Cut bars of soap
- Pack soap for shipping
- Help with cleaning / housekeeping projects
How to Sign-Up:
In the United States, we work with Hands On Atlanta to coordinate our volunteer shifts. You can sign up on our dedicated page on their web site.
For groups of 5 or more people please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule your time at the plant. We accept groups of up to 15 people per shift.
Volunteers must sign a waiver to participate. This project may involve some heavy lifting and/or using a dull blade for cutting soap (only those 18 and over can participate in cutting soap).
Wear closed-toe shoes (NO SANDALS or FLIP FLOPS) and clothing that can get dirty. The minimum age to help with warehouse work is 12, and to drive is 18. Those driving must show proof of a driver’s license and automobile insurance.
