Much appreciation Kayongo for the award you have won. May God bless you as you volunteer to the less fortunate. Am also trained on water, sanitation and hygiene(WASH) program. I usually volunteer work with His Healing Hands Ministry in training the communities safe use, storage and transportation of water. We even go to schools and teach the pupils on the correct ways of hand washing using soap.

    Hello Derrick
I am so happy that you are recieving attention for the fine work your doing around the world in making it a healthier place. I have enjoyed seeing our children’s faces on your video filmed at Brittney’s Home of Grace. I pray you have opportunity during the ceremony to mention kenyarelief.org and Brittney’s Home of Grace.

I would like to send some soap to the prison in Migori on our next shipment. It is desperately needed. We were able to deliver some food to the 500 prisoners but felt the place was a cesspool of disease. How wonderful it would be to provide them with soap.

I have asked our friends to be voting for you up till Dec. 7th.

    Respectfully

    Steve

I had the opportunity to sit next to Derreck Kayongo on a flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles. Little did I know that I was sitting next to an amazing individual who saw a need a did something about. When he shared the reason for his travel and the passion of his calling, I was moved and honored to be his flight mate. I had to learn more about this project and I plan to visit Atlanta soon and volunteer my support to this project. Having spent three decades in the United States Army and a greater part of the last decade in Iraq, I know heros and sacrifice. This gentleman is a true American Hero, I will never look a hotel bar of soap again without thinking about the work that this gentleman and his core of volunteers do to change the lives of people in some of the poorest countries in the world. Thank you Derreck and thank you CNN for recognizing his passion.
